ABOUT DARINGBADI:

 

Daringbadi is a hill station in Kandhmal district of Odisha state in Eastern India. It is situated at an elevation of 915 meter and it is one of the popular tourist destination of Odisha. According to British rule, there was British officer named Daring Saheb who was in charge of this place, over the years, this place was named after him,which is known as now a days Daringbadi, the meaning of Badi means village.more than 50% of the population here constitute ST Community.

Weather:

              The weather of this place is usually cool and pleasant throughout the year. summer         Temperatures range from 15 to 28 degrees. while the temp drop by a few degrees during the rainy season. In  winter,the temp range from 2 to 12 degrees. rainfall  is quite heavy in the region.

                    The landscope is hilly and rugged and covered in pine forests, silver oak trees, coffee plantations, bamboo groves, ginger, pepper and  cardamom plants.

BY TRAIN:  if you are travelling by train,the nearest railway station to Daringbadi is Berhampur which is at a distance of about 125 Kms away from the hill station. from there private cabs and public buses are easily available.

BY ROAD:You can book private taxis from nearest location like Berhampur, Phulbani or Baliguda.
