A Trip to Jiranga Monastery -The Tibet of Odisha)

                              JIRANGA

Jiranga monastery is a hidden gem of Odisha, established in 2010,It is located at Jeeranga, Gajapati  District of Odisha. It was inaugurated by his holiness itself, Dalai Lama. This place is also known as a little Tibet of Odisha.This place has a History, After the chines invasion in 1959,Tibetan were sent various parts of the world out of which Jiranga is one of them. Jiranga is also popularly known as Chandragiri.

      I have to visit different place and explore the new thinks but when your plan worked out so well it happens to be much more than a great trip !  

Buddhism which strated as an off shoot of hinduism in india ,has spread across the world to become the 4th largest rwligion in the world .there are maney Buddhist monasteries in india which preach the peaceful teachings of Budda. 

One such monastery is in southern odisha in Jiranga .it is nearly 80-85 kilomiter from the town of berhmpur .so me and my wife set out on journey on our bike to find lord Buddha.

Jiranga Buddhist monastery is the largest monastery in Eastern india .the monastery inaugurated by tibeten gury Dalai Lama in 2010 .it is a residence -cum-college for budding buddhist monks who come from all over India to study .

About Khasada Water fall

 

Odisha is home to a number of beaches and a large number of  stunning waterfall .khasada waterfall is one of those waterfall which has a beautiful view and would be admired by nature -lovers .This region has very attractive surroundings and the rolling hills can be seen here Khasada name because of the slippery neture of rocks.

BEST TIME TO VISIT:

There is no such specific time to visit at this place but to enjoy the climate.the preferable time will be from November to February.(winter season)

It is approximately 260km from Bhubaneswar city and approximately 90km from silk city Berhampur.
